Requirements
As a Highway Foreman 2, you will oversee a highway maintenance crew tasked with executing manual labor and operating heavy machinery for routine maintenance and repair projects on designated highways. Your responsibilities will include planning and scheduling work, as well as providing direct supervision to equipment operators and laborers who utilize various heavy construction tools and hand equipment for a wide array of maintenance activities. These tasks may encompass patching, crack sealing, shoulder repairs, drainage installation and cleaning, guide rail setup, roadway sweeping, litter collection, pothole filling, roadway widening, and addressing complaints, along with managing emergency responses to snow, ice, storm damage, or accidents.
In this position, it is crucial to keep precise records of field activities and promptly report any irregularities, injuries, equipment incidents, or damages, ensuring that follow-up documentation is completed as necessary. Safety is paramount; therefore, you will also be responsible for training crew members on the correct use of tools and equipment, adhering to maintenance protocols, and ensuring that all materials and workmanship comply with established specifications and standards.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Travel, overtime and shift work required. Work hours subject to change based on seasonal requirements and operational needs.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Highway Foreman 1; or
- Two years of experience in the performance of lead work or skilled tradesman duties on a highway maintenance or construction project; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania Driver's License.
