About the Position:This position is located at the 59th Medical Wing - Joint Base San Antonio - Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center; Lackland AFB, Texas.

This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Developing solutions to optimize health care delivery to achieve the best possible patient care; 2) Gathering information by utilizing a variety of medical databases to provide leadership with fact-based options in decision-making; 3) Providing analysis on health care delivery systems for outpatient areas to leadership.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Major Duties:

  • Direct business plan performance through statistical analysis of workload.
  • Responsible of balancing full spectrum of resource, clinical, and administrative functions to achieve the best possible patient care.
  • Oversee development of revenue enhancement strategies for existing practices.
  • Maintain effective communication with providers to ensure optimal efficiency within the military treatment facility.
  • Develop critical management indicators in order to educate key staff of critical medical sub-specialties.
