About the Position: This position is located at Defense Health Network Pacific Rim, Naval Medical Center, San Diego, CA Directorate of Administration, Tricare Operations.

Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) analyzing problems related to the healthcare delivery processes or policies; 2) conducting statistical analysis of effectiveness and productivity of facility and administrative services in a healthcare setting; and 3) applying administrative principles or practices in the analysis of organizational studies, statistical analysis, and/or development of plans.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Major Duties:

  • Serve as the Group Practice Manager (GPM) for clinical product line services with primary responsibility for analyzing, evaluating, and advising leadership regarding clinical operations of the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
  • Facilitate the provisions of high quality, accessible, cost-effective health care services with direct responsibility and control for a full spectrum of clinical and resource management programs.
  • Direct business plan performance through statistical analysis of workload, population demand, and clinical operations, and develops solutions to optimize health care delivery.
  • Develop and measure critical management indicators and education of key staff of critical medical sub-specialties.
  • Serve as the Access to Care Manager leading access to care planning efforts, organizing and coordinating resource activities ensuring optimal allocation of fiscal, personnel, equipment, and space resources.
  • Plan, organize and coordinate Clinical Practice Administration activities of assigned areas.
  • Advise and provide counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
