Full Job Description

Kanawha County

The Policy and Procedure Coordinator within the Office of Nutrition Service is responsible for serving as the expert on federal regulations and Nutrition Service Standards for the WV WIC. This position develops, revises and implements all policy and procedure for program administration requiring USDA approval in accordance with regulations, policy memos, and technical assistance guidance. Directs, interprets, and provides consultation and technical assistance guidance. Directs, interprets, and provides technical assistance for staff providing public health nutrition services statewide via formal and informal training sessions, phone, email, and policy memos. This position collaborates with DHHR/BPH counsel and the Attorney General's office in responding to court orders, motions, subpoenas, and request of records received by ONS. Represents ONS in all fair hearing, client sanctions to address all client or clinic complaints and program abuse or fraud allegations. Functions as the Project officer for civil rights and special needs accommodation/resources.

Qualifications

Training Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
Substitution: Additional experience as described below may be substituted for the required training on a year-for-year basis.

Experience: Four years full-time, equivalent part-time paid or volunteer experience in a technical or program area that is related to the area of employment.
Substitution: Post-graduate education in a field related to the technical or program area may be substituted for the required experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours for one year of experience.


Additional Information

Three (3) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in the Health and Human Resources series may substitute for the required training and experience.
