The Management Information System (MIS) Training Coordinator is responsible for strategic planning, organizing, and collaborating with internal and external employees to train over 200 Woman, Infant and Children (WIC) staff to meet and sustain competencies required by USDA to complete WIC eligibility determination and benefit issuance through the Crossroads Management Information System (MIS).

This position is responsible to ensure the development and implementation of different trainings that integrate knowledge, skills in staff's ability to create, navigate and appropriately document WIC applicant and participant records.

Required to perform, work at/attend meetings at alternate locations and/or travel when necessary.

The MIS Training Coordinator will oversee staff's confidential personnel training records required through sub-recipient grant agreements and WIC policy as well as interact with local WIC agency program directors to certify/approve external training curriculum and hours.

Responsible for the coordination of Crossroads User Acceptance Testing of MIS maintenance and enhancement builds by maintaining test records, creating testing scenarios, and reporting pass and failed test cases from all Office of Nutrition Services units.

Development of courses and evaluations through Blackboard Online Learning Platform to certify staff competencies following federal and state guidance such as civil rights and mandatory reporting responsibilities of child abuse and neglect.

Establish a staff development system to address deficiencies of WIC employees unable to meet universal competencies and/or resolve policy non-compliance issues.

Qualifications

Training:Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
Substitution: Additional experience as described below may be substituted for the required training on a year-for-year basis.

Experience:Four years full-time, equivalent part-time paid or volunteer experience in a technical or program area that is related to the area of employment.
Substitution: Post-graduate education in a field related to the technical or program area may be substituted for the required experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours for one year of experience.

Additional Information

Three (3) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in the Health and Human Resources series may substitute for the required training and experience.
