Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This groundskeeper role involves maintaining outdoor spaces by mowing lawns, trimming trees and shrubs, making minor repairs to paths and structures, and performing general upkeep around state facilities in West Virginia.
It's a hands-on job with some weekend and holiday shifts, plus possible emergency call-ins, suited for someone who enjoys physical outdoor work and has basic experience in landscaping or maintenance.
Ideal candidates are reliable, physically fit individuals comfortable with lifting heavy items and working at heights.

Early Day Shift Position. Under general supervision, duties include grounds maintenance, trimming trees, cutting grass, and cultivating plants and shrubs.
Makes improvements to walks, lanes, sheds, and benches including painting and minor repairs. Performs preventive maintenance pertaining to grounds area.
Requires frequent lifting and moving up to 50 pounds. May be required to work from ladders, scaffolding, or from lift-truck. Performs other related work as required.
A valid driver’s license is required. Some weekend (Saturday and/or Sunday) and holiday work is required. This position is an essential position and may require emergency call-outs.
Pesticide applicator license preferred but not required.
