Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team!

MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community.

We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively.

What are we looking for? Experience and knowledge of maintaining grounds for various areas, to include but not limited to; soil, shrubs, trees, playgrounds, and sporting fields.

Knowledge of pertinent safety, occupational health and environmental regulations. Must possess one year of experience in a supervisory position.

Ability to provide on-the-job training to insure employees are proficient in current job duties, responsibilities, and are aware of Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) policies and procedures.

Must have knowledge of herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers and their application.

Must have technical knowledge to supervise the application of fertilizers, chemicals, grasses, fungicides, and herbicides. Responsible for turf and landscaping management programs.

Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Must possess or be able to obtain applicable government operator permits. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Major Duties:

What to Expect Supervises the Grounds and Maintenance section of Facilities & Maintenance Division.

Establishing work schedules, selecting the types and amounts of equipment and materials to be used for various projects and determining the manpower and methods of work to be used to successfully complete projects.

Provides overall sequence of project operations and detailed work objectives to include processes and procedures to be followed in accomplishing the project and monitors' progress.

Supervises the operations and effective employment of various types of self-propelled lawn mowers, farm-type equipment, and general construction equipment and their maintenance requirements.

Position requires prolonged standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in tiring positions. Lifts and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.

Performs other related duties as required.
