Job Description
The Grounds Maintenance Associate III will be overseeing day-to-day park operations, including staff management, general parks maintenance, and equipment upkeep and repair. The incumbent will be responsible for assessing, developing and implementing in-house training related to grounds and maintenance. In addition, this position will inspect parks to ensure they meet safety and maintenance standards.

Essential Duties
  • Prioritizing and assigning work to direct reports, providing training and guidance as needed
  • Approving time for direct reports and ensuring staff follows policies and procedures
  • Conducting performance evaluations
  • Making recommendations in hiring, terminating, and disciplinary actions
  • Completing accident and personal injury reports
  • Participating in budget preparation and monitoring of expenditures
  • Creates purchase orders for materials needed in daily operation
  • Performs monthly inspections of assets
  • Creates service requests for plumbing, electrical, and carpentry needs
  • Maintains and verifies equipment inventory.

Other Job Requirements/Information
  • This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
Grade
The grade for this position is B22(2). Salary will be dependent on education and experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, AND
  • Three years of grounds maintenance experience, including one year of lead experience; or
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
  • Valid driver's license
