Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).

This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The incumbent will be responsible for providing subject matter and functional expertise of the Chairman's Global Force Management mission-enabling Joint Planning and Execution Services information system.
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A.
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the 12 grade level in the Federal service: Expert understanding of National Security Strategy, National Military Strategy, Global Naval Force Presence Policy (GNFPP), Global Military Force Presence Policy (GMFPP), Department of Defense and Joint Chief of Staff policies and guidance; Proven ability to perform strategic and operational-level planning and execution for Operations in the Information Environment; Adept at resolving conflicts, exchanging ideas, and coordinating policies within the Department of Defense and across other federal agencies, and Expert knowledge and understanding of national security and Global Force Management policies and guidance, the developmental process and interrelationships within the Department of Defense to shape planning with joint forces worldwide.

As a GLOBAL FORCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0301-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Leads requirements collection for Joint Planning and Execution Services and responsible for assisting Combatant Commands and service headquarters.
Serves as the Joint Command and Control Global Force Management mission-enabling information systems sponsor representative.
Sponsors the Problem Statements, use Cases, User Stories, and documentation of the overall doctrine, organization, training, material, leadership and education, personnel, facilities, and policy (DOTMLPF-P) solution.
Monitors performance of the Joint Planning and Execution Services IT system and applications supporting allocated forces by Secretary of Defense, via Global Force Management AP.
Providing support and advice for operations, activities, processes, procedures, user interface, data entry and data base management related to the sustainment of Joint Planning and Execution Services.
