This National Guard position is for a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST, Position Description Number T58021P1 and is part of the PA 171st Air Refueling Wing, National Guard.

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Bargaining Position AOC A: NG employees at the 171st ARW AOC B: NG employees in the 171st Air Refueling Wing (This includes 258th ATCS, 146 Weather Flight, 146 ARS, and 147 ARS) NOTE: Accessioning into this position is contingent upon verification of Tier 3 Security Clearance.
Supervisor for this position is MSgt Sheppard Manpower #: 0880794 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communicate effectively orally and in writing.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Application must indicate at least 24 months experience, education, or training dealing with cost estimates, budgets or funding management.
Experience conducting extensive and exhaustive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for supply activities.
QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying.
Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed.

Major Duties:
As a General Supply Specialist, GS-2001-09, you will schedule and conduct formal organizational visits annually to each supported organizational account both on and off the installation to ensure custodians are adequately performing their accountability responsibilities.
Attend base deployment concept briefings to identify organizations deploying equipment.
Ensure Block III (AFEMS CBT and supplemental) training is conducted for all Equipment/ SPRAMS custodians and Block IV training for deployed custodians.
Interpret ASC and other data as it relates to weapons systems and base authorization for equipment to identify valid requirements, and prepare change requests to ensure that equipment authorizations are maintained within applicable allowance.
Manage all equipment items with the exception of vehicles.
Ensure unit requirements have been categorized as Critical/Important in the Equipment Requirement System (ERS) and has matching requisitions in all automated systems.
Create computer inputs, maintains Master CA/CRL Jacket Files and Master SPRAM Jacket Files, and corrects errors identified on listings relating to equipment.
Develop, implement, and provide for administrative functions in the element. Perform other duties as assigned.
