Perform maintenance and repair tasks for offices, classrooms, dormitory rooms, bathrooms, hallways, practice rooms, the cafeteria, the recital hall, the theatre, and outside structures in such areas as carpentry, masonry, electricity, heating, venting, and air conditioning (HVAC), and plumbing.
Makes recommendations to the supervisor regarding the most cost effective and efficient course of action.
Knowledge to properly carry out custodial and housekeeping tasks.Knowledge of safety practices relative to the areas of employment, skill in the use of cleaning tools and equipment.Ability to operate custodial equipment as assigned.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk, bend, reach, grasp and lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
