Base salary range: $104,604 - $135,987

This job involves leading the engineering work for designing, building, and maintaining steam turbine generators used on Navy ships, including reviewing plans, managing risks, and ensuring everything meets high standards.
It's perfect for an experienced engineer who loves working on complex machinery and has a background in naval or power systems.
You'll help keep the Navy's equipment ready and innovative while working in a government team in Washington, D.C.
You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the MARINE ENGINEERING GROUP of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT.
This position is part of the DoD Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo). The NH-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS 14-15 grade levels.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-13 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Engineer analyzing and developing the design, operation or maintenance of naval shipboard steam turbines and associated sub-components including turbines, generators, bearings, couplings, and control systems.
