Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing engineering projects for building repairs, designs, and improvements across U.S.

facilities for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, including reviewing contractor plans, conducting site audits, and preparing reports for leaders.

You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one of the following: Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Reviews and approves contractor plans for accomplishing work including goals and objectives, work breakdown structure, detailed scope descriptions, detailed schedules, and risk management approach.

Coordinates and performs in-field management assessments and audits/surveillance. Prepares briefings to senior management, regulators, and organization staff.

Major Duties:

  • As a General Engineer, at the full performance level, you will perform the following duties: Provides overall technical management and coordination of site-wide design and construction activities for facilities projects across the U.S and its territories; Designs and prepares construction project contract solicitation packages and cost estimates for assigned facility repairs, alterations and improvement projects; Performs project management responsibilities to plan for and execute assigned projects; Employs state of the market technologies for potential application in assigned projects; AND Oversees and monitors the design and design-build construction of assigned projects to ensure execution in accordance with approved designs as well as with organization and commercial standards applicable to facility construction.
