The primary purpose of this position is to: PLEASE REFERENCE DUTIES This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS).

The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level.

The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

To qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements describes in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Professional and Scientific Positions.

BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT: A. Degree: Engineering.

To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.

OR B.

Combination of education and experience -- college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering.

AND KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.

Knowledge of professional engineering concepts, and practices of intelligence analysis, ballistic trajectories, orbital mechanics, aerodynamics, rocket propulsion, thermodynamics, general engineering, mathematics, project management and other fields; and the standard practices, methods, and techniques of the occupation sufficient to perform difficult assignments.

Extensive knowledge of analysis, evaluation, fact-finding, and investigative techniques in order to gather data, identify significant factors, and recommend a solution from a number of possible alternatives.

Knowledge of intelligence requirements, tasking, analysis, evaluations, interpretations, reporting, collection, production and dissemination; and knowledge of the principles of project development and execution; standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures; and other engineering disciplines.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: 1.

This position is covered by the DCIPS, and as such will subject the incumbent to those examinations and or tests that are necessary to obtain and retain a security clearance and any special accesses required by the position in accordance with AFI 36-1101.

This position is a testing designated position and as such requires periodic urinalysis testing.

Failure to comply with any of the special requirements when required, will subject the incumbent of this position to reassignment or disciplinary adverse action, including demotion or removal. 2.

Position is designated special-sensitive and is covered by the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS); as such incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. 3. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program.

Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.

Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Ballistic Missile Systems Intelligence Analyst responsible for scientific and technical assessments of the characteristics, capabilities, employment, limitations and effectiveness of current and future foreign long-range, land-based ballistic missiles, operations and facilities via all-source data analysis, providing predictive, actionable intelligence to various customers including defense acquisition, policy, and warfighter customers.

DUTY 1.

Performs professional engineering work to plan, coordinate, evaluate, and direct timely intelligence assessments of current and future foreign long-range, land-based ballistic missiles, operations, and facilities to include characteristics, capabilities, employment, limitations and effectiveness by acquiring, evaluating, analyzing and interpreting pertinent all-source data to provide predictive, actionable intelligence to the warfighter, policymaker, and force modernizer.

Leads enterprise efforts and projects to evaluate all-source intelligence information to assess ballistic missiles and progression of related research and development (R&D) programs. DUTY 2.

Employs scientific and engineering principles to plan, analyze, and evaluate engineering and technical efforts used to define system/subsystem requirements, translate requirements into design criteria, assess alternative design approaches, and develop system specifications.

Utilizes diverse engineering practices and techniques to anticipate project needs, modify priorities, and administer a structured process from concept to production, operation, and disposal.

Applies professional knowledge of engineering principles to establish requirements for technical objectives and characteristics, and devise and evaluate concepts for design approaches such as criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships.

DUTY 3.

Provides support to customers including briefings, tours, ad hoc taskings, foreign exchanges, working groups, conferences, and/or other relevant forums as deemed appropriate by Principal Intelligence Analyst (PIA), Senior Intelligence Analyst (SIA), and Flight Director.

Provides technically accurate, professional, coordinated, complete and appropriate customer support. Ensures appropriate support is provided by agreed upon deadlines. DUTY 4.

Provides enterprise leadership through developing production plans and project scope proposals to maximize efficiency.

Organizes and manages cross-functional teams to lead WMBR's participation in intelligence community (IC)-wide ballistic missile collaborative analysis projects addressing difficult and non-routine problems using the results to influence decision-making for both internal/external customers.

Organizes and leads communication with suppliers and contributors. DUTY 5. Keeps abreast of worldwide state-of-the-art and emerging technology in assigned technical areas.

Applies emerging technology and business practices to develop and implement a course of action, validate and direct resources, and integrate logistics and/or acquisition functions to implement plans.

Prepares reports and conducts technical presentations for planning, implementation, and corrective action.
