Full Job Description

You will serve as a GENERAL BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY SPECIALIST in the DDG51 Project Office, Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING BATH.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: management in directing the development, implementation, and analysis of comprehensive management systems and detailed plans for the execution and analysis of a Production Program.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will participate in monthly Program Manager's Changes Control Board to review potential change candidates considering costs and schedule impacts ensuring only essential changes move forward to the contractor for scoping and pricing.
  • You will make decisions for the PMR on cost and technical and schedule risk to ensure correct implementation of change work on DDG 51 vessels.
  • You will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of personnel and activities in support of change management of Aegis Destroyers.
  • You will ensure compliance with the command management operation system and all programs and policies.
  • You will be responsible for overall funds management for the DDG 51 Program Managers Representative including monitory expenditures for Field Modification Requests, Headquarters communications, and modifications Requests.
  • You will analyze program funding estimates to identify deficiencies, excesses, trends, imbalances, etc. to assure that objectives of the annual financial plan are being met on a timely basis and funds are being effectively used.
  • You will implement and maintain the Project Office waterfront change process including change evaluation for necessity above base contract requirements, creation of statement of work, and accountability of funds expended.
  • You will develop, maintain, and monitor integrated reporting system(s) affecting program with inter-related functions and operations.
