Base salary range: $104,604 - $135,987

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This role involves leading planning and coordination for future naval operations in Europe and Africa, based in Naples, Italy, including overseeing military strategies, budgeting, and team supervision during crises or exercises.
It's ideal for experienced military or defense professionals with strong leadership skills who thrive in high-stakes, international environments.
The position supports decision-making on everything from force management to environmental protections in maritime settings.
You will serve as the Deputy Director of N35 Future Operations for Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe, Commander and U.S. Naval Forces Africa (CNE/CNA) in Naples, Italy.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the Gs-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Overseeing the military operational planning, execution, and force development operations; 2) Coordinating with other DOD components relative to Future Operations, training, policy and interoperability for issues affecting the command; 3) Responding to all operational, planning, policy and contingency response matters in a timely manner; and 4) Assessing and improving the program effectiveness of strategy, campaign, and operational development.
