Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves supporting the U.S. Navy's Ceremonial Guard by coordinating military funeral honors, planning ceremonies, and ensuring smooth operations for honoring fallen service members.
It requires working with teams, families, and organizations to handle scheduling, procedures, and reports for these respectful events.
A good fit would be someone with military or event coordination experience who is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to honoring veterans.
You will serve as a FUNERAL HONORS SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the Ceremonial Guard Division of US NAVY CEREMONIAL GUARD.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing funeral honors technical assistance and appropriate actions to ensure Military Funeral Honors and responsibilities of the Ceremonial Guard are accomplished; 2) Planning and organizing functions in support of Military Funeral Honors and Ceremonial Guard programs; and 3) Overseeing scheduling and support for military funerals with internal and external organizations within area of responsibility.
