Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing fuel operations at a Navy base in Texas, including overseeing maintenance of fuel facilities, handling contracts with the Department of Defense, and preparing budgets and reports to ensure safe and efficient fuel handling.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a FUELS SPECIALIST of NAS CORPUS CHRISTI.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Utilizing maintenance tracking systems to develop periodic asset management schedules and annual maintenance cycle plans; 2) Interpreting petroleum operations management reports to determine the impact of maintenance and loss of components on operability; 3) Overseeing the operation and maintenance of fuel facilities to ensure quality control and safe handling of bulk petroleum fuels.

  • You will serve as administrator of DoD Fuel Service contracts answerable to the DLA Energy, Contracting Officer.
  • You will prepare annual budget request for CNIC operations
  • You will initiate or participate in a continuous process improvement initiatives and process mapping efforts.
  • You will advise and provide direction on problems involving the work efforts which affect mission accomplishment, coordinating both internal and external procedures and operations.
  • You will analyze incoming correspondence, directives, and messages by researching, validating, preparing, answering data calls and replying with outgoing correspondence and reports.
  • You will evaluate contractor's day-to-day compliance with all contract provisions and monitors the performance of contract personnel.
  • You will submit monthly reports to DLA Energy, contracting Officer concerning compliance with the fuel service contract PWS
