Full Job Description

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM OPERATOR, Position Description Number D2428000 and is part of the 106TH RQW, National Guard.

This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.

Military Grades: ENLISTED GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to follow instructions and to safely operate the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties of the position.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 18 months experience or training operating, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and overhauling fuel systems and components.

Experience or training initiating and controlling the movement and storage of fuel supplies by operating high pressure systems with a series of terminals connected by cross-country pipelines or multi-fuel storage and distribution facilities connected by a network of internal pipelines.

Major Duties:

  • As a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM OPERATOR (WG- 5413- 10), the primary purpose of this position is to manage fuel on behalf of the Defense Logistics Agency(DLA) which consists of operations and maintenance of a fuel distribution system that includes a Type III Hydrant fuel system (at Air Refueling Wings) equivalent to a small fuel farm, fuels laboratory, cryogenic storage, bulk storage, base service station, fuels information service center, mobile fueling operations and the financial account management for missile propellants, aviation fuels, ground fuels and cryogenics utilized in support of aircraft, motor vehicles, engine test cells, powered Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE), generators and heating systems required to support the Wing mission and transient aircraft.
