JOB DUTIES

Work includes construction of framed wall structures consisting of wood and/or metal framing and sheetrock and/or paneling; installing metal and bituminous roofing materials; installing suspended ceilings; hanging doors; installing windows; installing hardware including locks, hinges and door closures; building cabinets and fabricating counter tops.
Work also includes concrete construction; the installation and repair of ceramic and quarry tile carpet and vct tile and wood flooring; glazing and metal work requiring welding and brazing.
Work with campus Planning, Design & Construction department to ensure construction and maintenance work on campus complies with campus standards and codes.
Helps review plans, specifications, and submittals for new campus construction or remodels as needed. Inspects new construction, attends meetings as required and provides input to project managers.
