In this Forester position, you will be responsible for all aspects of forest management on state game lands in your assigned region.
This includes the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of programs designed to manage, protect, enhance, and conserve the forest resources.
Work involves preparing forest resource inventory maps and required documents, collecting and analyzing habitat and wildlife data, and implementing specific wildlife habitat considerations.
Communication skills are key as you will also have the opportunity to serve as a lead worker for Forest Technicians and Interns and develop and deliver public information programs.
