This seasonal job involves helping manage forests in Pennsylvania's Delaware Forest District by supporting wildfire prevention, conducting field assessments, collecting data with GPS and GIS tools, and working with teams on conservation efforts for timber, wildlife, recreation, and watersheds.

As a Forest Technician serving the counties of Monroe and Pike, your primary duty will be to assist with managing our natural resources, as well as wildfire prevention and suppression.
You will assist with timber, wildlife, recreation, watershed, and conservation activities; conduct forest assessments; and collect field data using GPS and GIS technology.
Additionally, you will collaborate with foresters, external agencies, and partners to support efforts within the Delaware Forest District.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits.
The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment March 2027.
