As a Forest Technician, you will perform technical work for the Division of Forest Health by assisting in the control of forest diseases, insects, and invasive plants, in addition to conducting aerial and ground surveys, and preparing detailed maps.
You will participate in direct suppression efforts, biocontrol assignments, and trapping and sampling of forest diseases, insects, and invasive plants.
Duties will involve establishing monitoring sites, deploying traps, regularly inspecting and maintaining traps, and preparing a variety of reports.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits.
The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay.
The employee will automatically be returned to employment in March 2027.
