This seasonal job involves hands-on maintenance of state forest roads, facilities, and equipment in Pennsylvania's Rothrock Forest District, along with helping to prevent and fight wildfires.
It's perfect for someone who enjoys outdoor physical work, can handle different weather conditions, and likes working as part of a team to protect natural areas.
The role runs full-time from March to November each year, offering a chance to contribute to forest conservation.

As a Forest Maintenance Worker, your role will encompass a range of critical tasks aimed at ensuring the health and safety of the forest.
This includes the upkeep, repair, and construction of State Forest roads, facilities, and equipment within Rothrock State Forest.
Additionally, you will play a key role in wildland fire suppression, as well as fire prevention and pre-suppression initiatives.
Collaborating closely with seasoned staff and fellow workers, you will thrive in a team-oriented environment that prioritizes effective task execution.
There may also be opportunities to serve as part of Pennsylvania's Specialized Wildland Fire Crew, responding to federal emergency incidents outside the state.
