Requirements

In this role, you will support the Forest Maintenance Supervisor in various maintenance, forest fire management, and operational tasks within the Black Moshannon Maintenance Division. Your responsibilities will include performing manual labor, operating basic equipment and tools, and maintaining these resources. Collaboration with other staff members will be essential to effectively carry out your duties. Additionally, you may be temporarily assigned to other divisions within the Moshannon State Forest District as needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2026, through November 2026, at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment March 2027.
• Work hours are 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Thursday, off on Fridays, with a 30-minute lunch.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Conditions of Employment:

• This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.

Other Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
