About the position: This position will be assigned to the Grissom Club on Grissom Air Reserve Base, Indiana.
The purpose of this position is to perform routine manual duties in food preparation or food service areas.
The is a flexible position, which means you are not guaranteed hours or benefits but could work anywhere between 0 and 40 hours per week. Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

An applicant's eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be provided with application by the closing date, 04/17/2026 Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, Spouse/Widow/Parent of Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: No previous experience is required. Ability to read and understand written material and be able to follow simple oral instructions.
Ability to use hand tools for cleaning and operating simple machines. Ability to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds, and occasionally over 20 pounds with assistance.
Ability to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push and bend for long periods of time. Major Duties:
Sets up glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, condiments and cold menu items (e.g., salad, dessert, bread and cold beverages) on a serving line.
Removes dishes and trays from tables Operates, breaks down and clean all electrical equipment for food preparation. Cleans kitchen equipment (e.g., worktables, sinks and refrigerator).
Separates food waste and trash from dishes, glasses and silverware in dishwashing area. Loads and operates dishwasher, stores clean dishes, glasses and silverware.
Washes tables and counters, vacuums and shampoos carpets. Sweeps and mops kitchen floors, cleans windows, washes walls and cleans and sanitizes trashcans.
Sorts, washes, peels and cuts fresh fruits and vegetables. Performs other related duties as assigned.
