Base salary range: $41,966 - $54,557

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Conducting fire protection and prevention inspections; (2) detecting, reducing, or eliminating potential fire hazards; and (3) developing, implementing, or providing training in fire protection and prevention.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone -- no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Certifications: In addition to meeting the Specialized Experience above, this position requires you to possess for the National Registry Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (NREMT) or state certification in the United States indicating a future expiration date AND possess and maintain Firefighter I and II, Hazardous Materials Technician, Fire Inspector I and II, Fire Instructor I, and Public Fire and Life Safety Educator Certifications certified through Department of Defense (DoD) Fire and Emergency Services Certification System, International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC), or Fire Service Professional Qualifications System (Pro Board) in accordance with DoDM 6055.06.
