Base salary range: $41,966 - $54,557
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-6. Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement or 1 year graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves inspecting buildings and facilities on a Marine Corps base in Georgia to identify fire risks, test safety systems like alarms and sprinklers, and ensure everyone follows fire safety rules.
It also includes reviewing construction plans, teaching fire safety classes, and managing programs to prevent fires in places like offices, homes, and medical centers.
A good fit would be someone with hands-on experience in fire safety inspections who communicates well and enjoys educating others on preventing emergencies.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: inspecting facilities and structures for fire hazards and fire protection deficiencies; performing functional tests on fire suppression system and fire alarms; and interpreting and enforcing fire codes, regulations, and directives.
