Full Job Description

You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the DISBURSING DIVISION of II MARINE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying policies and procedures of accounting systems and payroll records management; AND processing payroll system transactions.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will be responsible for account maintenance and support work of accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
  • You will verify, maintain and reconcile accounts/accounting data, apply standard accounting codes, methods and techniques, and prepare and analyze reports.
  • You will be responsible for technical work in support of the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and custody of cash items including cash handling or use of cash accountability control methods.
  • You will determine pay, payroll records maintenance and completion of reports pertaining to civilian employees of the Federal Government.
  • You will answer requests and provide advice to employees, supervisors and staff on pay-related rules, regulations, and procedures.
