Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves handling day-to-day financial tasks like managing budgets, accounting records, and payroll for a naval education command in Florida.
You'll use computer systems to track money, spot errors, and fix them following government rules.
It's a good fit for someone with a year of office-based financial experience who pays close attention to details and enjoys working with numbers in a structured government setting.
You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the FUNDS ADMINISTRATION & ACCOUNTING DIVISION of NETPDC.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of financial management regulations, practices, procedure, and policies to technical work performed in support of accounting, budget, or other related financial management work; 2) Utilizing automated systems in support of financial management work; 3) Identifying discrepancies in various accounting, budget and/or financial management support assignments; and 4) Making corrections to identified problems by applying specific rules, regulations and procedures.
