Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This role involves leading the recruitment, training, and deployment of financial personnel for military contingency operations, while ensuring smooth integration and operation of accounting and financial systems in challenging environments.
It also includes providing technical guidance, solving operational issues, and preparing reports on financial activities.

GS-11 Specialized experience is defined as: performing financial management data analysis to identify issues that need corrective action deficiencies; or advising management on financial policies, regulations, and standards in support of the financial mission of a large-scale financial organization.
GS-12 Specialized experience is defined as: analyzing data to identify trends and developments in Civilian Pay program in order to enhance operations; or reviewing the execution of automated system processes to ensure compliance with established pay laws, regulations, and procedures; or providing customer support for an automated civilian payroll system.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.
To be considered for the GS-11, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-9 or higher in the Federal service.
To be considered for the GS-12, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher in the Federal service.
** The effective date of your SF-50 must reflect that you will meet the 52-week time in grade requirement within 30 days of the announcement closing.
** You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Level 2 Certification under the DoD Financial Management (FM) Certification Program as a condition of employment.
If you are selected, you will have to obtain this certification within two (2) years of your entry on duty in the position unless you are already in a position that requires a Level 2 Certification in which case you must complete the certification within the original 2-year period.
Failure to become certified within the required time-frame may be grounds for removal from the position and/or from Federal service.
