Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves managing budgets, processing financial data, and improving accounting processes for a naval shipyard's lifting and handling department.
You'll handle tasks like posting financial obligations, maintaining payroll records, and preparing reports to support the organization's operations.

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Budget Office in the Lifting and Handling Department of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience processing with COST and or other applications knowing system capabilities and how they relate to larger data sets in Data Processing Business Systems to process and run a successful organization.
Experience Maintaining, enhancing, and evolving financial business and accounting business process and practices to improve financial management, analysis, reporting, and auditability across the department.
Experience formulating budgets and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before senior management in the Department and outside of the Department.
Experience performing financial and/or compliance audit remediation activities to include performing root cause analysis to identify breakdowns in processes and systems that contributed to issues and how to mitigate future occurrences.
