Job Description

Summary

This job involves handling budgets for a Navy program, including planning, spending, and analyzing finances to support key operations.

You'll advise on financial policies and ensure everything follows rules and regulations.

Key Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience at GS-09 level or equivalent in budget formulation, execution, or analysis

  • Skills in developing, determining, and interpreting budgetary policies and practices

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing a variety of budget functions involving the formulation, execution, and/or analysis of budgets for substantive programs and support activities and having detailed, intensive knowledge of policies, precedents, goals, objectives, regulations.

  • You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
  • You will develop, determine and interpret budgetary policies and practices.
  • You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of the organization's programs and administrative operations.
  • You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets and provide advice on methods of acquisition and use of funds to support organization.
