Job Description

Summary

This job involves helping manage finances for a naval special operations unit, including tracking expenses, processing payments, and supporting budget tasks using government systems.

Key Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-07 (for GS-09 level), including applying financial functions, goals, and funding sources to budget figures
  • Knowledge of budgetary, accounting, and financial administration practices, procedures, regulations, and policies
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial information and apply it to specific work areas
  • Experience assisting with timekeeping systems such as SLDCADA, DAI, or DCPS
  • Familiarity with reviewing and posting expenses/accounts payable in GFEBS, including compliance with the Prompt Payment Act
  • Ability to prepare forms like SF-1034 or SF-1164 for payment processing to DFAS
  • For GS-07 level: Assisting in basic financial functions, goals, work processes, and funding sources

  • You will assist the CSR supporting the basic processes available in various timekeeping systems (SLDCADA/DAI/DCPS).
  • You will performs limited studies or assist a higher-graded analyst with full scale studies.
  • You will review documentation for posting expenses/accounts payable in GFEBS for proper validation of payment in accordance with the Prompt Payment Act (PPA).
  • You will review, post expense/accounts payable in GFEBS and prepare 1034s/1164s for signature and processing for payment to DFAS.
