Base salary range: $51,332 - $66,732
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-8. Master's degree or 2 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves analyzing budgets, tracking funds, and preparing financial reports to support the Navy's financial operations.
It requires working with accounting systems and advising managers on resource management to ensure programs run efficiently.
A good fit would be someone with experience in finance or budgeting, strong analytical skills, and comfort using office software for reports.

For GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations; 2) Performing specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems; 3) Analyzing, forecasting and interpreting functions associated with management and control of resources or funds and; 4) Tracking and controlling of funds for special programs.
For GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting in formulation of budget and estimates; 2) Supporting plans, programs, and activities; 3) Providing assistance in reviewing and evaluating budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures; and 3) Assisting in development, determination, and interpretation of budgetary policies and practices.
