Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing budgets, tracking spending, and ensuring compliance with financial rules for Navy programs, including preparing estimates and analyzing data to support decision-making.

Key Requirements

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Naval Air Technical Data and Engineering Service Command of NV AIR TECHNICAL DATA AND ENGRG SVC.

GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting financial policies, regulations, and practices to provide guidance on fiduciary compliance; 2) Monitoring spend plans and execution of funding, including maintenance of associated records in financial management systems; 3) Performing and advising on work in various phases of budget administration; and 4) Utilizing a financial system of record (i.e.

Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)) to extract, analyze, and interpret business and financial reports/data.

  • You will provide support for the financial management of assigned account, including consolidating program requirements/inputs, generating labor, non-labor, and IT budget exhibits, and assisting with travel programs (i.e. PCS and DTS).
  • You will formulate budget and estimates to support plans, assigned program, and activities.
  • You will provide input to briefs, drills, data calls, and variance explanations to plan and benchmark as needed.
  • You will interpret, assess, and project potential impact of new or revised Congressional legislation.
