FINANCIAL ANALYST II/III
The Utah Office for Victims of Crime (UOVC) is seeking a talented Financial Analyst II/III to play a pivotal role within the office. As a key player on our dynamic team, you’ll collaborate with and assist various groups with strategic planning and financial decision-making.
This is an intermediate-level role that requires a thorough knowledge of pertinent policies and procedures to assist with the management of financial programs and a high volume of financial functions. In this role, you will:
Manage vendor setup, maintain vendor accounts, and process payments in the state accounting system.
Assist with employee training and compliance initiatives, including travel and P-card management.
Support program managers with procurement and purchasing needs.
Read, interpret, and analyze income statements.
Reconcile financial data and reports.
Research and reconcile data discrepancies and present findings to senior management.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is someone who has:
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the other Microsoft Office suite of applications
Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and can communicate with all levels of management
Ability to interpret and apply detailed policy
Ability to take initiative and work independently to meet deadlines
Ability to analyze large amounts of data
A strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and adapt to changes
Preferences
Preference may be given to current State employees.
Preference may be given to candidates with an education in finance, accounting, or a related field or at least two years of progressively responsible experience in a work-related field.
