The GovOps Division of Finance is seeking a loan services financial analyst to join our Loan Accounting team. If you have experience in loan payments and programs, and customer service, this could be the position you’re looking for.

Principal Duties

The following are the principal duties of this position; however, additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Loan System Management:

  • Record and maintain loan data in the State’s loan system in accordance with loan documents.
  • Monitor and correct loan data within the system to maintain accuracy and integrity.
  • Distribute monthly loan reports to State departments and statements to borrowers.
  • Assist with loan system implementation and updates.
  • Collect, record, and research borrower's insurance and property tax information.

Payment Processing:

  • Accurately apply borrower payments and manage payment schedules.
  • Assist Loan Accountant with reconciliation procedures.
  • Handle late payments and coordinate follow-ups as needed.

Customer Support:

  • Respond to borrower inquiries regarding loan balances, payment history, and account status.
  • Process borrower audit requests and confirmations..
  • Assist State departments with loan modifications or forbearance options.
  • Resolve borrower or department complaints and issues.

Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:

  • Ensure all loan servicing activities comply with state regulations and policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date loan records.
  • Adhere to procedures and guidelines related to loan servicing.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience managing financial accounts, maintaining account balances, or processing financial transactions (such as loan payments, accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc.).

  • Experience providing customer service in a financial setting, including responding to inquiries, resolving account issues, or assisting clients with financial transactions.

The Best Qualified Candidate

The best candidate for this position will have:

  • Experience in loan processing, loan servicing, or financial administration, preferably within a government or institutional setting.

  • Experience working with loan management systems and financial software.

  • Background in customer service or client relations in a financial setting.

  • Problem-solving skills for resolving borrower or department complaints.

  • Excellent communication skills to answer borrower inquiries and provide clear, professional support.
