The Pennsylvania Treasury Department is an independent agency led by the elected State Treasurer and one of the largest state treasuries in the country, serving as custodian of more than $150 billion. Requirements
As a Financial Analyst 1 in the Bureau of Cash Management & Investments, you will play a critical role in managing the Commonwealth's cash and investment operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Reconciling daily cash movements and coordinating with sub-custodian banks, pension funds, and state agencies to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Processing and monitoring cash and securities transfers for multiple investment managers
- Managing safekeeping transactions, collateral deposits, withdrawals, and interest payments for various state agencies
- Preparing and maintaining documentation for safekeeping shipments, insurance, and audit requests
- Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and responding to right-to-know inquiries
- Performing reconcilements between internal investment accounting systems and external custodial records
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be required to report in-office 3 days per week.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One to three years' experience working in a related field such as banking or governmental finance; or
- A Bachelor's Degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training
Additional Requirements:
- You must have experience using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, web-based utilities or the ability to learn relevant software.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Knowledge of investment and banking terminology
- Experience using PeopleSoft or BNY Nexen
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently on assignments
