BASIC REQUIREMETNS: Successful completion of a 4-year course of study in human services or related field leading to a bachelor¿s degree from an accredited college or university and four years of experience in human services, social sciences, or related field with two years of specialized experience in case management.
OR a Master¿s degree in human services or related field from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in human services, social sciences, or related field with two years of specialized experience in case manager.
Must have two years of post-college work related experience specific to domestic violence and child abuse.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of the types of military, community, state and government organizations that provide service programs, which includes familiarity of local, state and federal regulations as they pertain clinical services.
Knowledge of the most recent and current theories of domestic violence and child abuse.
Knowledge in social work services, family and group counseling, especially as they pertain to dysfunctional and/or abusive family dynamics. Knowledge and understanding of aspects of military life.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Knowledge of the military application of orders, instructions, and standard operating procedures is desirable.
A valid SOFA driver¿s license is required This position is designated as a Position of Trust, and the incumbent must be eligible for a background check.

NONAPPROPRIATED FUND POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Social Worker Associate BUINESS TITLE : Family Advocacy Program Case Manager FLSA : Exempt JOB SERIES: 0187 GRADE: NF-04 INTRODUCTION: This position is located in the Behavioral Health Family Advocacy Program, Marine & Family Programs Branch, MCCS, MCB Camp S.
D. Butler. The purpose of this position is to support the case management of the Behavioral Health Family Advocacy Program Supervisory staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides comprehensive case management services in support of ensuring clients received timely, efficient, and effective clinical services in the areas of general mental health and domestic violence.
Keeps all parties with a "need to know" informed of progress with respect to the various clinical services offered by the Family Advocacy Program.
Provides case management services for the Family Advocacy Program (FAP) to ensure general mental health and FAP rehabilitation services are provided in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.
Schedules client appointments and monitors to ensure attendance, both with clinical provider appointments, and various other rehabilitative treatment assignments (e.g., group therapy and education classes).
Ensures follow-up services for clients are provided.
Briefs and updates clients and Commands regarding case status, FAP treatment recommendations, and FAP Incident Determination Committee (IDC) notifications and findings including completing associated letters to commands.
Conveys to Commands' the request for the issuance of a Military Protective Order (MPO) to ensure safety, as may be warranted per clinical assessment and evaluation in particular instances.
Maintains up to-date, accurate and complete records for all clients. Prepares agenda for the Incident Determination committee and Case management Meeting.
Attends the IDC meeting and all duties associated with the IDC meeting. Attends the Clinical Case management meeting.
Monitors for quality assurance with respect to agency service delivery and records management. Compiles statistics and performs case management related administrative duties.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists internal as well as external customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner.
Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services.
Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the Chief of Behavioral Health or respective BH Branch Program Director, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.
Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures.
Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
May work a fluctuating work schedule to complete work assignments outside of the typical work week and work hours (to include weekends as necessary). Performs other related duties as assigned.
Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
