This job is for a nursing instructor at a community college in Colorado, where you'll teach students about maternal-child health through classroom lessons, lab work, and hands-on clinical training to prepare them for nursing careers.
It's ideal for an experienced nurse who enjoys mentoring diverse students and helping them build skills in patient care and critical thinking.
The role offers a stable schedule with benefits and the chance to shape future nurses in a supportive, inclusive environment.
Who We Are
With three campuses along Colorado’s Front Range, FRCC is the state’s largest community college. We enroll close to 28,000 students annually from our diverse service area, which offers a variety of cultural and recreational activities.
Each year approximately 5,000 FRCC students transfer to four-yea run universities and FRCC offers more than 36 career training programs that prepare students for immediate employment and rewarding careers.
Last year, more than 5,000 high school students took concurrent enrollment classes with us, earning college credit without having to pay college tuition.
And we were recently ranked as one of the “Top Online Colleges” in the country by Newsweek.
One of FRCC’s main goals is to offer educational excellence for everyone.
The college’s strong commitment to student success means we start by creating an inclusive and equitable environment—one where both students and employees feel they belong and are supported.
FRCC’s focus on diversity, equity and inclusion is woven into the fabric of our college conversations and decision-making processes.
We are actively seeking to hire a workforce that reflects the diversity of our student body.
The college is also an emerging Hispanic Serving Institution. For us, becoming an HSI is an intentional commitment to being a college where our Latinx (and other historically marginalized) students thrive.
FRCC employees and leaders work hard to create a culture of collaboration, innovation and pride. We’re looking to hire people who share these values—along with our commitment to student success, equity and excellence.
Our Nursing Program
The Westminster Campus Nursing Department prepares students to succeed in today’s evolving health care environment through rigorous academics and immersive clinical learning.
Students in our Associate Degree Nursing (RN/ADN) program build strong foundations in nursing science, clinical judgment, and professional practice while gaining hands-on experience through partnerships with health care organizations across the Denver metropolitan area.
Clinical placements span acute care, community health, and other essential care settings, preparing graduates to serve diverse patient populations.
Instruction combines classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical experiences designed to mirror real-world practice and strengthen critical thinking skills. Faculty work closely with students to foster competence, confidence, and compassionate care.
Accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), our program is nationally recognized for quality and outcomes and supported by a collaborative faculty culture committed to student success.
Faculty enjoy a consistent academic schedule with a 9-month contract paid over 12 months, maintaining year-round benefits.
Summers offer flexibility for rest, additional teaching, or continued clinical practice. Most importantly, faculty directly shape the next generation of nurses entering Colorado’s workforce.
Who You Are
You are an experienced nurse with the ability to teach maternal-child health who is ready to share your knowledge and help others succeed.
As a Nursing Faculty member, you will teach a full course load that may include theory, laboratory, and clinical instruction.
You will help students develop critical thinking skills, clinical judgment, and professional confidence in a learner-centered environment.
Courses may include clinicals that are on weekends or evenings. Faculty are expected to integrate technology and evidence-based teaching strategies to maximize student success.

You may be asked to teach at different times, locations and modalities to meet the needs of the College.
This position does have the opportunity to work remotely occasionally but does require a strong on-campus presence and may require occasional travel to all three FRCC campuses.
