This position is part of the Department of War (DoW), Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
The incumbent will be responsible for leading and managing the operation and maintenance of administrative and test facilities, associated out buildings, structures, and grounds, and parking lots including managing facility maintenance programs and service essential to maintaining a safe, healthy, and efficient environment.
You may qualify at the NH-03 Broadband Level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below and must meet 2 of the 3 specialized experience listed below to be qualified: Providing, sustaining, and operating MDA assets in a cost effective manner by using Standard Operating Procedures and field activity development of metrics in order to represent and advocate agency requirements and interests of the field activity to other organizations within the agency and tenant Commands .
Defining, establishing, and directing organizational focus in order to identify and resolve problems within and outside organizational boundaries; recommending solutions; expressing facts and ideas orally and in writing in a professional and constructive manner informing and clarifying issues and negotiating, persuading, and influencing agency officials.
Relating acquisition technical policies, guidance, and reports through systems designs, specifications, and maintenance requirements. OR B.
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration.

As a Facility Operations Specialist at the NH-1640-3 broadband level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Directly responsible for overseeing and managing facility operations including administrative requirements, logistics, personnel support functions and managing facility services contracts.
Provide infrastructure support, services, and facility management to support various MDA facilities, warehouses, and other element.
Assures optimal functioning of buildings and systems including mechanical, fire/life safety, mail, and janitorial services on a daily basis.
Serve as Contractor Officer's Representative (COR)/ACOR for maintenance support facility contracts, review and assess program costs, schedule, and contract/vendor performance as well as approve modifications to work orders or statement of works.
Plan, direct, and coordinate activities concerned with the operation repair, maintenance, and constructions of facilities, equipment, buildings, and grounds to minimize interruption and improve efficiency.
Provide project management support for planning, designing, constructing, expansion, and/or re-purposing of existing and/or new facilities.
Oversee facility renovation of projects entailing HVAC, electrical, emergency power generation equipment, and quality of life within the facility.
