Full Job Description
Minimum Special Hiring Rate at Critical Vacancy Facility:
$36,533
Under general supervision, performs all general preventative maintenance to the heating, air conditioning, plumbing, lighting, roofs, windows, and floors.
Performs repairs and general building improvements in house as allowed by code and standard. Currently this position is responsible for maintaining equipment fleet.
Responsible for maintaining various logs, charts, and completion of purchase orders for the department. Other duties as assigned.

In accordance with SPB 3088 effective 10/7/23, $5000 will be added to the minimum starting rate of pay for all classifications within a Critical Vacancy Pay Supplemental Facility.

Qualifications
Training: Graduation from a standard four-year high school or GED or four year apprenticeship program or two year post secondary technical school.Substitution: Experience in air-conditioning, heating or refrigeration may be substituted for the required training on a year-for-year basis.
Experience: Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in heating, cooling, ventilation or the mechanical or building trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, plasterer, painter, welder, machinist, mechanic or masonry work.
Special Requirement: Specific positions may require certification from a federal EPA approved testing organization as a certified technician required by the clean Air Act on refrigerant recycling.
