Summary

This job involves managing and maintaining facilities for a Navy aviation unit, ensuring buildings, equipment, and safety systems are always ready for aircraft maintenance and operations.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Facilities Operations Specialist in the Airborne Command & Control and Logistics Wing of COMAEWINGPAC.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing facility management and operations support to ensure buildings and equipment are in optimal working condition by managing service contracts to support the maintenance of aircraft and sub-components for overall facility readiness.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will plan and implement business processes to support maintenance requirements and goals for equipment and facilities.
  • You will conduct investigation/inspections and identify equipment requirements necessary for capability development and production capacity enhancements.
  • You will monitor and maintain building mounted safety equipment and ensure they are in good operating order and maintain maintenance records.
  • You will Perform annual certifications of existing Contract Field Team (CFT) employees on the Installation Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) and organization facility access.
  • You will investigate functional requirements for facility equipment and systems including planning, installation of electrical requirements and interreference.
  • You will attend weekly progress meeting for new constructions and process applications to ensure barriers are eliminated, resolved and construction progress is being met.
  • You will manage and maintain material, inventories, equipment, tooling inventories, project development, and budget management to support self-help initiatives.
