As an Executive Operations Advisor, you will serve as a principal advisor to the Deputy Secretary's front office on executive operations, diplomatic protocol, and strategic coordination.
The incumbent ensures that the Deputy Secretary's engagements, travel, and front office operations advance Treasury's strategic priorities through precise planning, informed analysis, and seamless execution.
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Serving as a liaison for senior executives to support administrative and operational tasks in an organization; AND - Developing strategies to address challenges and improve agency operations; AND - Establishing and maintaining working relationships with high level officials, managers, employees and external stakeholders; AND - Managing arrangements and schedules for events and engagements involving intra-agency or inter-agency stakeholders.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
Major Duties:
As an Executive Operations Advisor, you will: Serve as the principal advisor and subject matter expert (SME) to the Deputy Secretary and front office staff on all matters of diplomatic and international protocol, including proper address, precedence, and gift exchange procedures.
Develop and maintain detailed contingency plans for all high-level diplomatic engagements, such as travel delays, security changes, unexpected protocol requirements.
Ensure immediate readiness to implement alternative arrangements.
Manage the day-to-day logistical requirements for all Deputy Secretary engagements, including securing and preparing secure conference spaces, coordinating A/V and communications support, and ensuring the timely and secure transportation of materials and personnel.
Manage and execute all aspects of logistical and protocol arrangements for high-level meetings involving executives and representatives of foreign governments, ensuring seamless and respectful interactions.
Develop and maintain comprehensive contingency plans for all major travel components, including security changes or flight delays, ensuring immediate readiness to implement alternative arrangements to maintain the integrity of the Deputy Secretary's schedule.
