ERP Asset Management Support Analyst

The Department of Administration's (Admin) Division of Enterprise Applications (DEA) is seeking an ERP Asset Management Support Analyst to join the team.

We are in growth mode, and it is an exciting time to be a contributing member to SC Enterprise Information System (SCEIS)!

SCEIS is the backbone of our business processes and ultimately empowers decision makers to improve government for the citizens.

You will serve as a member of the Finance Team for SCEIS focusing on evaluation, configuration and maintenance of SCEIS software to manage the State's fixed assets.

In this role you will oversee all fixed asset-related management processes and authorize changes/modifications to the SCEIS software in these areas.

In collaboration with the Finance Team lead, coordinate with agencies, contractors, and other SCEIS team members to review/update business processes, develop management reports, resolve reports, resolve operational Fl issues, document policies as appropriate.

You will serve as the State of South Carolina's primary support for all SCEIS asset-related questions. This role requires a skilled professional with deep experience in Asset Management.

This position is onsite in Columbia, SC.

Responsibilities of the ERP Asset Management Support Analyst:
  • Provide operational support to agencies and users for the resolution of service requests/incidents in Asset Management or another functional area as designated.
  • Maintain documentation and test new and additional changes to the platform systems according to established procedures.
  • Develop and/or conduct testing of business scenarios to ensure proper system performance and processing.
  • Process and run monthly reporting on the State's depreciation after being given the authority to proceed from the Comptroller General's (CG's) Office.
  • Work with CG's Office to review and identify issues with annual reporting packages and to process entries to correct asset recon errors.
  • Prepare, update, and deliver functional training sessions.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in governmental finance and general ledger management; or an associate's degree and at least five (5) years of relevant experience in governmental finance and general ledger management, of which at least four (4) years are in Assets; or a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in governmental finance and general ledger management, of which at least four (4) years of experience are working with Assets.

Additional Requirements:
  • Must possess a working knowledge of central state governmental accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Must also have sound analytical and organizational skills and be able to work with a diverse group of professionals.
  • Must understand the life cycle of assets in both Modified and Accrual Accounting.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and approach to dealing with people at all levels by providing pleasant, professional and courteous customer interaction.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and to maintain a high level of knowledge of SAP and related modules is essential.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and to present in front of large and small audiences.
  • Must be able to work with a diverse group of professionals in all levels of an agency.
  • Position may require overnight travel. Position may require employee to work evenings and weekends.
  • Position may be required to report to work during emergency situations and hazardous weather events.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or IT.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system experience is preferred.
