Job Description
Summary
This job involves driving and operating trucks and light equipment to maintain and build county roads and city projects, including tasks like transporting materials, controlling traffic, and performing basic equipment upkeep.
A good fit would be someone with hands-on experience in construction or maintenance who is reliable, physically fit, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Key Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience (four additional years may substitute)
- Minimum one year of related experience in road maintenance or equipment operation
- Current and valid Class C driver's license upon hire
- Obtain Class A CDL with tanker endorsement within eight months of hire
- Pass pre-placement physical examination and DOT drug test
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks like stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling
- Clean background check, including criminal history and driving records

Requirements
1. Operates and/or drives truck or light equipment2. Performs road maintenance or construction related duties while operating equipment
3. May transport equipment and supplies
4. Controls traffic flow at work site
5. Performs routine maintenance on equipment or trucks and reports needed repairs
6. Performs all other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Minimum of one (1) year related experience.
OR
An additional four (4) years of related experience may substitute for a high school diploma.
A current and valid Class C driver license is required upon hire.
A Class A CDL with tanker endorsement is required within eight (8) months of hire.
