This job involves leading a team to clean and maintain equipment on submarines and ships at a naval facility in Washington, including operating pumps, mixing chemicals, and adjusting cleaning tools to prevent spills and ensure safety.
It's a hands-on role in a busy repair shop where you'll read technical guides and handle waste from vessels.
A good fit would be someone with practical experience in industrial cleaning or maintenance, strong leadership skills, and a focus on safety in a team setting.
You will serve as an EQUIPMENT CLEANER LEADER in the GENERAL DECK SERVICES SHOP 72C, WATERFRONT SERVICES DIVISION, REPAIR DEPARTMENT of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.
