Full Job Description

You will serve as a Deputy Director, Equal Employment Opportunity (DDEEO) for the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD).

You will service approximately 6,000 employees and serve as the subject matter expert for the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Programs.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Executing and evaluating a civilian federal equal employment opportunity (EEO) program to include advising on the application of equal employment opportunity (EEO) program requirements and developing strategic initiatives and recommendations for senior leaders.

  • You will administer the Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWC) EEO program, to include managing the complaints program, disability program, and affirmative employment programs.
  • You will provide advice and guidance, review and evaluate a positive management oriented EEO Program that ensures demonstrated commitment from leadership.
  • You will ensure integration of EEO principles into the agency’s strategic mission.
  • You will provide management and program accountability; proactive prevention of discrimination, efficiency; and responsive and legal compliance to servicing customers.
  • You will conduct barrier analysis, dispute resolution, discrimination complaints processing and develop sound strategies to resolve identified issues.
  • You will develop performance plans, assess and rate staff performance, assign work, provide technical oversight, interview and recommend hiring/promotions, initiate disciplinary actions and identify the training needs of employees.
