This job involves leading a team to monitor and investigate outbreaks of diseases like those spread through food or water, as well as lung infections from bacteria, while also advising on tech tools for tracking illnesses and training staff.

This cross-cutting Epidemiologist position is a supervisory position that is responsible for managing a team working on enteric disease and legionellosis surveillance and outbreak activities.
This position also provides subject-matter expertise and support for cross-cutting projects related to surveillance informatics and workforce development.
You will lead surveillance, identification, and investigation of outbreaks, support the development of policies and procedures for epidemiology, and evaluate complex analytical problems

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
